Also known as interactive kiosks, these outdoor informational terminals can provide tourism, transportation, and public safety insights while also being a social-services resource and provide Wi-Fi access. Interested in checking one out? The city of Berkeley and the city of Elk Grove already have these modern amenities for residents and visitors. The city of Sacramento is at the first stages of the planning process and is asking residents to participate in an online survey by March 24th to help the City better understand the needs and priorities of our community.
Congratulations to the first awardees of Sacramento’s $6.9 million youth workforce program! The City has partnered with community-based organizations Green Tech, Sierra Service Project and Sacramento Tree Foundation to provide young residents between the ages of 16 – 30 with opportunities into clean and green careers. The associated organizations will train and employ young people in various green-focused jobs like urban farming and forestry, EV maintenance, home energy efficiency retrofits, food sovereignty projects, and more.
