A Mid Century Modern Home
I had the pleasure of previewing a Streng brothers built mid century modern gem on Friday. The seller had done an impressive job of maintaining their property with a clear attention to detail. The property was an attached single family residence - a halfplex - with a small front elevation footprint. The property made the most of what it had to work with, and the front yard included a grassy area, two garden areas, and a large tree providing shade to the space. The interior was clean and beautiful with no visible deferred maintenance of any kind. The bedrooms, bathrooms, living room and kitchen all had custom features that added to the appeal of each space. The kitchen was clearly a recent update as the cabinets, counter tops, and appliances all appeared to be near new. The skylight, recessed lighting, under cabinet lighting, and matching stainless steel appliances all combined to create a futuristic aesthetic that still emphasized on function. A clear nod to the home’s mid century modern roots. The living room was bathed in natural light due to its wall of windows which looked over the landscaped back yard. The home was open and bright with space to entertain in three key areas: the living room, the kitchen and dining room, and the back yard. My hat’s off to the owner of this mid century modern gem, you did a great job of creating a home that wows its visitors.
